Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
I have come with another little project of mine I wanted to make after my older project.
I have worked on it for 2 days, not really rushed but not really going for perfection either. I hope both the EB fans and EB members enjoy it and give me feedback. This is my second small cinematographic project, so it means much to me what people think of it. Whether you liked it or not. And if you (by grace of mighty Ataegina) want this as your intro for your EB game, then I will send you the file without problems.
Enjoy!

P.S. Thank vartan for randomly picking the Lusotannan as my next (now, this) intro.
P.P.S. You can watch my last intro HERE
P.P.P.S. You can thank fomalhaut for writing the last dramatic lines replacing my old ones

Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
wow jirisy's, this is very very good. but the text is not it's strongest point, the last bars
"if you dare enter our lands,
the trees and forest will be your murderers.
so be frightened, very frightened"
conveys the guerilla meaning, but sounds very silly almost.
here would be a more poetic and powerful end;
"if you dare march upon our lands,
the very trees of the forest will be your foe
death from nowhere
death from everywhere
be wary, O enemies of Lusotan"
the last sequence of the shots of 5 soldiers with the music was the best part easily.
i think you may be suffering from english being your second language (?), so the impact your words may have are lessened. the meaning is conveyed though, but it lacks a punch.

Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
I had to work on the track limit, and 2 days isn't much to make the script. But thanks! I'll edit right away!
Updated!

Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
This one was very good, I loved the mist and grass at the beginning, and as fomalhaut said the timing with the soldiers at the end is a nice touch :)

Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
With some new intros coming out, would the Eb team consider one final patch to add them and clear up some loose ends? I know they are busy on EB2 but still worth consideration I suppose
-
Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
IIRC there was talk of a 1.3 version already, but as far as I'm concerned the community can make the videos, the team should focus on EBII 100% imo :P
-
Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
Mucho great video ma friend.
-
Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
To be clear: the 1.3 version, if it's ever finished, will just be a bug-fix. More faction intros would make a nice addition, but I am sure the team isn't creating additional content for EB1 anymore.
-
Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
why not 'contract' or, um, volunteer jirisy's to keep making these for the 1.3? because i just watched it again a few times (with the new lines heh heh) and it really is quiiite good! lives up to EB quality.

Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
Thank you all for the feedback. But to clarify, they are 4 soldiers, not 5. It would be incredible that my videos be in the official EB, but I don't think it will happen.

Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
We could make a fan version 1.3 with the MP EDU implemented in SP (with proper ownership changes, of course.

Whatever you wish, it's your mod. You can add some ninjas if you want :laugh4:
Oh, you meant fan version. Nevermind then.

What are you waiting for? Once we have 3.0 balanced enough, which we should at least for SP purposes (pricing will be weird but that's okay, AI still gets her cash bonus), we'll just strap that baby in and add in some intros, maybe this one along with some I'll make and some my good friend Ghost of Cato has made (if he'd like).

Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
There are different cost entries for MP and SP so there is no problem there.

I know. I suppose we'll end up having the same pricing for the MP and SP versions as it would kill the whole point if we costed, for example, SPQR units lower just so they could recruit more, as if they have more manpower (why were SPQR units priced relatively lower in SP anyway? this is why).

Very cool video! :2thumbsup:

Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
Jirysis, awesome video. Short, to the point and very nice! As others have said, the music timing with the video and the soldiers was great. Feels like 2 parts of a whole rather than just a background track overlaid.
Can't wait to see your next factional video =)

How is it possible to start a post with my name misspelled in a thread I made :laugh4:.

You yourself misspell your own username. In your signature you spell with a capital J when clearly your username has a lowercase j. Go figure.

That's my "name", my username is with lower case j. Just like vartan, not Vartan.

Re: Europa Barbarorum Lusotannan Intro.
So what you're saying here is that your birth name is Jirisys <insert potential middle name + last name here>?

No it isn't. What kind of name is Jirisys for a spanish-speaking-country kid?

It's okay Jiri, we don't judge. :clown:

I know your "name" and it isn't Jirisys. You are intentionally misinforming the community. I'm sure there is a rule against that somewhere.

This is going to be so much fun.

That is why I put aerial quotes on "name"
Or else I would have said my name.

I know what you "think" you are trying to say here. But you're still wrong. Or maybe you're high as a kite since you are clearly in the air. I've even seen people do the "aerial quotes" with their fingers in front of me. They look like donkeys given crack cocaine. Story is I know your name(s) and you got it wrong buddy, you be misinforming the public. I hereby cyber-warn you. Next time you'll receive a cyber-citation, got it kid?
P.S. Where did you get the video?
