If you were an EB unit, what would you be?

PS:No "jokes" with Gaesatae, Tindanotae, Uirudusios, Woithiz Watha and anything else I might have forgotten!

I would've been a Cordinau Orca. Very heavily armoured and with a vicious curved blade! I'd prefer it to Dosidataskeli types because the armor is a bit.. Too much, I could hardly breathe in it. And I don't think I'd be too comfortable with a horse or an elephant!

EDIT: I would *like to be* Cordinau Orca. But I would probably have been Hoplitai.

A Diplomat, of course. Well paid, safe, and quite important in the matters of daily business.

but before i became a diplomat? i'd be a Baktrian Pezheitaroi no doubt. A man granted land expanding the frontier of civilization.

For me? I guess Argyraspides. I live as a lion to reach this well respected position with a lot of campaigns and rewards behind me. We fight till the end and stand in the position of honour of the main line.

To command under one of the better Seleukid commanders would be my preference, seeing a lot of the cultural/natural diversity the empire has to offer over the years.

My experiences playing Mount & Blade would have me believe that I wouldn't want to be anything other than part of a well-armed cavalry unit.
When a battle goes south, it'll be the cavalry that'll live to fight another day!

Given my situation, I'd probably be a Juguntiz. Am pretty decent with a javelin in terms of range, so....

... But if this was the end time frame, I'd probably be drafted into the Roman Legion instead to intimidate Italians with my tall stature, blond hair and fair skin so as to remind them that while they might not approve of their Emperor's bunga-bunga parties, it is really none of their business to approve of anything the great warlord says or does nor of how much money he takes for himself.

I would like to serve in the Tarabostes Retinue Cavalry (Dacian Medium Cavalry).

1)In battles, we would guard the rear of our armies, and we will have a huge role.

2)Also, I would like to fight mounted and to be in a fast moving unit, who can be very maneuverable on the battlefield, and can chase running enemies if ordered to do so.
I imagine we will receive the order to chase and take prisoner an enemy ruler. I think that if we’ll succeed, we will be greatly rewarded.

3)Being attached to the Getic nobility I will have better equipment than my fellow Getic warriors, and I will also be rewarded by my chief not by bureaucracy.

4)In times of peace, my troops will be the enforcers in an entire “dava” , we will help our chief to rule the dava.
Our salary may be a lot higher than average, it depends of our chief’s wealth and position. These earnings will be more than enough to please all of my ten wives, especially the tattooed Agatyrsian one, who is very fond of luxury.

5)And about safety….it isn’t very safe to fight as tarabostes companion because you will have to do a lot of charges but there are units who take higher risks on the battlefield.

But, sometimes there could be a problem, when my chief betrays the Priesthood or the Great King, and we could have the unpleasant possibility to fight against our Getic Zalmoxian brothers.
