How to Put a spongecake under a pancake layer???
well, here we go:
- you just have a spongecake
- and instant pancake mix (just add eggs and water)
- you make the pancake, then put the spongecake to the center, pour pancake dough at the top, and then fry it till done.
- but then, it goes really awry?
how could the bakeries make that delicious Spongecake under pancake cakes then? anyone knows?

Never seen what you're talking about.
You could just make two pancakes and then put a spongecake between them. Or you can cook them from one side and then when they're both half done, stick them tot he spongecake and cook them some more. So many ways.

Try using a microwave and yelling at it while it cooks.

A. That's not really spongecake in pancake, that was spongecake pancake burger
B. Hmm, maybe I'll try it again, more carefully...
Re: How to Put a spongecake under a pancake layer???
I would make the bottom layer pancake, then put the spongecake on that and poor the rest of the pancakemix over the spongecake.
Now comes the genius part.
Get another pan and put it over the other. Flip the pans and now the raw mix is at the bottom ready to be fried while the rest is untouched.

This sounds good. But you don't need two pans, just a spatula.
Re: How to Put a spongecake under a pancake layer???
Working with a spatula may ruin the already fried pancake. I have no idea how big that spongecake is but the bigger, the higher the chance it'll come apart if you use a spatula.
I've seen it a few times by known cooks. The 2 pan trick works.

Ah. I am not an experienced pancake maker! :) I was also thinking last night, what about dipping the sponge cake in the pancake batter and then cooking it like a normal pancake? How about that?
Re: How to Put a spongecake under a pancake layer???
How about this:
You bake your pancake and then you smear nutella on it with thin banana slices.
Best dessert ever only surpassed by the petit beurre taart
Re: How to Put a spongecake under a pancake layer???
no no no! pineapple carpaccio filled with strawberries and mascarpone sprinkled with chocolate pilfers and strawberry sauce owns it all!

This is dangerous territory for a diabetic. Curse your pancake/spongecake/petit beurre taart chomping hides. :laugh4:
