one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven tweleve thirteen fourteen etc
an easy child's work on preschool suddenly got into quadratic difficulty when we try to put higher or odd numbers
for example: "our body and numbers"
easy part:
one is for the mouth, we only have one mouth for talking
two is for the eyes and ears, we have two of them each to see and heard what others do
four is for our hands and feet, we need them to do write, draw, and walk
five is for our fingers in each hands, they help us to write and count (haha, soo preschool)
and here's the:
hard part:
three is for ... kidneys? ovaries? testicles? (organs that have pretty big chance to have three instead of normal two)
six is for ... polydactiled fingers?
seven is for... ?
and I surrender on eight :P
do you have think about that as well? (having this kind of idea since my neighbour's kid start to ask what part of our bodies have three pieces
Re: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven tweleve thirteen fourteen
I am confused. Why are you assigning body parts to numbers?

Re: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven tweleve thirteen fourteen
3 is for the number of auditory ossicles
12 is for the lenght in inches of the duodenum
See, easy as pie.

Come to think of it. A human actually has six ossicles.

Maybe it's best if we do one ear at a time?
Re: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven tweleve thirteen fourteen
that's it, I'm telling the neighbour's kids that their preschool teacher is basically trying to make their brain explode :clown:
better stick to colouring pages and do 1+1 2+2 3+3 etc, rather than doing this
Re: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven tweleve thirteen fourteen
Oh come on. We should be able to do it. Just for the look on that teacher's face.
1 mouth
2 ears
3 auditory ossicles in one ear
4 limbs
5 fingers on one hand
6 ?
7 ?
8 ?
9 ?
10 toes
Re: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven tweleve thirteen fourteen
You got the joints for limbs and fingers. That's 3 as well and easier to display. Should take care of 6 as well.
7: Holes in the skull for organs (mouth, ears, nostrils and eyes)? The cervical vertebrae is 7 as well.
8: Total holes in the skull (1 for the spine as well).
