Simple problem: units running too much.
I'm returning to Shogun 2 after not playing it much at launch (life, small children, other terrible inconveniences...)
I've got an idiotically simple problem: when I command units to move, they often run when I don't want them to. This happens a lot if units are grouped or I'm rubber-banding their formations by right-click-drag.
Is this normal behaviour? I'm used to single-click walk, double-click run. Am I an idiot or does Shogun 2 just do this?
(I tried to search for this, but "run" isn't a great search term)
Re: Simple problem: units running too much.
I dislike that hugely, but yes they changed it and now click and drag means run for your life XD
Re: Simple problem: units running too much.
Thanks.
While I'm asking stupid questions, is it normal that bow ashigaru (loose formation, skirmish on, no fire at will, away from the enemy) refuse to fire at an enemy unit when I click on it? I've tried just clicking, and halting the unit then clicking, but sometimes they just refuse to fire.
Re: Simple problem: units running too much.
Hold down the control key as you issue a move order and the units will walk no matter how that order was issued.
Yes, archer units occasionally have a mind of their own. I have more problems getting them to stop shooting at a target than getting them to start.
