A couple changes were recently made in the forum structure. The Tavern became a category of its own so that the Gameroom, Frontroom, and Backroom all got main full main index listings. In addition, the previous restrictions on viewing the Backroom were lifted. The Backroom is now visible and readable by everyone, even unregistered members. However, the old restrictions on posting in the Backroom remain. It is an opt-in system and requires approval from the Backroom staff. Instructions on how to apply can be found here. If you have already done that and still cannot post, you should contact the Backroom Moderators, as they are the ones that approve requests to post there.

The Backroom is visible to all so the wise will be scared away. The Backroom only allows the select to post so that only those with high quality tripe to post can add to the refuse heap.
Is this going to enable searching of the Backroom?

Nice. Maybe this will entice some newer members to apply for Backroom membership.
There needs to be a sticky in the back-room with a link to the opt-in membership. That should help the newer people do it.
Or perhaps a link to a page where TinCow has it made very simple for you to opt-in or not.
I am a bit worried that spyders are going to index all of it. I would rather have my early thoughts and ideas not be recorded publicly for some intern to dig up down the line should I decide to actually get into politics.

Ah, thanks, came back to make a final post explaining my decision and couldn't find it. Now if I could just remember who all sent me kids stuff so I could send them pictures... I'm prettu sure it was Hosa, Warman, Drone and TinCow...
I would prefer the backroom to be unviewable. When I am done with this account or the org in general, I will have to delete my account and all the posts with it, which is sad.
