Family history question American Army WW1

I hope the Mods do not mind me asking this question in the monastery but it does have an historical bent to it.:bow:


Basically a relation of mine was in the army in America WW1 but none of us has a clue what all this stuff means under his name.

Ind: Boston, Mass., Div. 9, Dec. 10/17. Private. Org: 16 Co 4 Tng Bn 151 Dep Brig to Feb. 4/18; Co C 61 Inf to disch. Eng: Vosges Mts; St Mihiel; Argonne Meuse; La Chapelle; St Stei. Wounded in action severely: Nov. 3/18. Overseas: Apr. 16/18 to Mar. 13/19. Hon disch on SCD: Feb. 25, 1920.

I think it says he was injured just before it ended and fairly badly too it seems.

Anyway I got asked what this meant and I couldnt make head nor tail of it to be honest any help would be appreciated in deciphering this.

Something like:

Inducted on dec 10 1917. A private, first in the 16th company, 4th training battalion, 151st Depot Brigade and then part of C company, 61st Infantry Regiment (part of 5th Infantry Division of you want to read more about it) Fought at the Vosges mountains etc and severely wounded on Nov 3. Honourably discharged on(because of?) Service Connected Disability.
