Slow start :<

Every campaign I play is a really slow start and the game doesn't seem to pick up speed at any point really. Most of the late/nice units take 2 turns to build so it becomes a nightmare to make anything that is not an ashigaru army.

Income wise, it has never been quick in the beginning either but usually picks up later, which is normal, but large armies are few and far between in the beginning of a campaign game and later on, large armies take ages to replace/replenish.

Does anyone know of a mod that sort of speeds it all up, without comepletely breaking the game?

I believe Darth mod for shogun 2 has user preference options to include accelerated income values, allowing the player (and AI) to field much larger armies more quickly. But that is more of a conversion mod. I'm unsure if there's anything more simple to do just what you're looking for. Sorry.
