So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
Stat. I promised a friend I would cook some kind of desert involving pumpkins this weekend, before realising that I have no recipes in my meagre student cookbooks that even mention pumpkins.
Post yours here, and I shall pick the worthiest of them all to make a pudding for kings.
Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
Just buy the can and it'll have a recipe on it. And then get lots of reddi whip.
Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
They don't sell cans of pumpkin over here. Also, my friend has the pumpkin and needs to get rid of it, preferably by eating it.
Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
Although I am not the moderator of the Frontroom, I believe I can speak for the staff colleagues when I say that a return to the actual topic would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

That would be nice. Got any pumpkin pie recipes to share, Ser Clegane?

That would be the realm of Mrs. Clegane (not meant as a chauvinistic comment ~;)) - although I do not recall having any pumpkin pie in the past years (they typically end up in a soup in the Clegane household)

Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
I can provide a pie crust recipe (involves vodka), but not a pumpkin filling recipe. Sorry.
Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
Bite into raw pumpkin, spray can of reddi whip into mouth.
Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
roast chunks of it with olive oil, salt and black pepper on a baking tray or roasting pan and then use it (after cooling) in salads with rocket / watercress and whatever else you like
Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
Save and roast the seeds as well! Pure yumminess!
Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie

Cut it in pieces, boil pieces, puree pieces
But why not just serve Greek yoghurt with blueberries and maple syrup geez
oh yummie
Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
Will try that.
I promised my friend that I would actually cook, which means heating up food.

Re: So I need some recipies for pumpkin pie
Followed JuJuBee's suggestion of pumpkin bread - for want of a bread tin, we made muffins, and they totally rock. Thanks!

And here's the evidence, after six of them were eaten:

They're pumpkin muffins, made using a pumpkin bread recipe. Being poor/lazy students, we don't have a bread tin, so we improvised. They're really, really good, and there's six less there than we made originally.
