General Franco in modern Spain
I wonder what people of Spain think about him now?
He is very interesting historical figure for me.
On the one hand he started revolution and destroyed legal government.
On the other hand can government that betray its nation be respected.
I watched some interesting movies from Spanish civil war and that "evil fastist" seems not to be so evil.
Re: General Franco in modern Spain
Iv always been very interested in the Spanish Civil War ever since I read Hemingways For Whom the Bell Tolls. It gave a great perspective of the Republican view. But both sides had their massacres and war crimes so I am curious as to see the modern Spaniards view of it.
