More participation would be a blessing in the HOF for this year!
We got off to a slow start and I think we did the nomination process in the middle of a lull in activity, so one more reminder for folks.
Nominate the Best Small Game here
Nominate the Best Large Game here
Nominate the Best Game Host here
Nominate the Best Gameroom Contributor here
Nominate the Best Gameroom Participant here
What do these categories mean?
Best small game and best large game should be self-explanatory, but the reason we have two categories this year is because every year, the top spot gets dominated by large games. We host a lot of small games and some this year were particularly good, and they would most likely have been overshadowed by the big games. Not kewl, so we lobbied for additional categories.
Best host is a category that belongs to your favorite/best host of 2011. Perhaps they hosted several good games or they've come up with excellent game designs, or they have the best writeups. Whichever game host has games you never want to miss, this is that category.
Best gameroom contributor is a person who has made the gameroom a better place through their contributions to the gameroom itself. This could be a moderator, game host, or especially welcoming game player, someone who has advertised games, or otherwise contributed to the gameroom section in a way that benefits us all, in ways besides simply playing the games.
Best gameroom participant is the award that goes to the player of the year, for their participation in games. It doesn't necessarily go to the winningest player, but someone who is fun to play with and had a particularly memorable year. When you think of 2011, which player stands out?
Let's see as many folks participating in the nominating and voting process as we see playing the games themselves. We only do this once a year, and now is the time to recognize your fellow gameroomers, or perhaps get recognized yourself.
I can't access those links due to lack of privilegs. Damn my privilegs.
They've hidden the subforum for some reason.
Time for nominations to cease and voting to begin-ify.
You're already voting for me.
When can we start voting?
Polls are up since a day or two; you can vote now.
The winners are now up! Thanks to everyone for making 2011 such a special year for the Gameroom.
I'm still kind of in shock I was nominated in two different categories.
Any chance we could see the nomination threads and voting results?
Andres has fed on the corpses of those threads in order to gain his unholy strength. We're trying to stop him, but we don't know if we can get the ingredients to form the proper spell in time.
(They've been deleted, sorry.)

Fresh meat!
...
Well, maybe not that fresh, but fresh enough for me.
Yeah, it's more like fossilized jerky at this point.
