I have just reinstalled MTW, patches and VI on my new pc. On startup I get the following error:-
"Arab Infantry
Unknown Unit name parsing deadpage coords file.."
If I red x the box, the game starts up fine. Campaign map is fine and quick battle is fine. Will this only become a problem with Arab Infantry in the battle/campaign map? Also if someone can point out how to fix it if necessary that would be nice also. Thanks.

The supplied deadpage coordinates file does have errors, but it shouldn't cause any crashes, you just won't see the bodies. There is an old discussion about it here. I think there is a replacement fix file around here somewhere, let me look around to see what I can find.
Thank you. As long as I can play without crashes it's all good. Not played in 4 years due to gfx card compatability. :yes:
This file might be the one with the vanilla fixes, but I thought there was a newer one floating around. More searching in my future.. :whip:
The problem seens to have fixed itself. Also I had a bug crashing going between the Battle map and the campaign map, both ways. The fix Sepheus created however has solved that issue. ~:)

You know, I had a similar problem some time ago with freezing after a battle usually when needing to click on the aftermath screen and it too just went away. Sure makes one wonder.
