Trivial script EB Configuration not accepting changes

When I run "EB Configuration" the check boxes "Disable audio", "Movie Cam", and "Watch the AI" are always unchecked and I can't save a config with them checked.

I looked and found the likely location of these settings, <EB dir>\ebconfig.dat. Looking at this file with a full function editor (I use EDXOR) I see text entries with padding and separation characters for all configuration fields listing a field name (not necessarily the same as the text by the check box in the running window), a list of all possible field values, and the current field value, in the order they are on the running window--except the last one is "EnableEditor" and there appears to be no text for the 3 check boxes that don't work.

Don't know enough about the ebconfig.dat file structure to fix it. Any help possible?
