Large mafia game for at least 18 players


Rules:
Private communication is allowed.
After death, alignment will be revealed (town, mafia, serial killer, cult), BUT there will be at least one death miller (innocent person, who after death would appear to be mafia, serial killer, or cult)

Specials
All town players are vanilla townies, but...
Players share collective power to jail one character every night. They vote for this every day, together with voting for lynch.
There are also two special power roles:
1. Mayor. At the beginning of the first day, players choose one of them to become a mayor. In case of a tie, mayor decides which of tied players would be lynched (or jailed). He also appoints sheriff.
2. Sheriff. Appointed by mayor (as a night action). Can either protect or track another player at night.

There would be one, two, or three (unlikely, only with more than 20 players) scum factions. It could be mafia, cult, or serial killer.
In case of mafia, one of their members would be designated as a hitman, and he will have to conduct night kills (this rule means that if he is jailed, there is no mafia kill; if any mafia member could attack at night, jailing power would be useful only against SK or cult leader)

It would be near-vanilla mafia, with a non-vanilleness described above.

Jarema was a town mayor

To be exact, I have to mention that not whole body was found, as right hand and left foot were missing.
Villagers were in shock. For a long time, no-one knew what to do. Then, one of the youngest members of prominent Bensch family approached the body and said: 'We need to investigate this case. There is a murderer among us. Me and my brothers can...'
Old MacKenzie interrupted him. 'Leave, German scum. It's one of you, or of this dirty Poles, who is the murderer! We will use this opportunity to free our village from all who are not of proper blood'.
'Sweet Jesus!' Max Kowalski yelled. 'Sons, go bring the flails. Its time for a serious threshing!'
It seemed that bloodshed is inevitable. But then Hannah, one of the most respected midwives coughed.
'Boys, please behave. We have to be strong in face of this event. I know what we should do. There is old tradition in our village, that in cases like this one we gather every day and hang the most suspicious among us. Then, we repeat this process for as long as we are not sure that we caught the killer'
'But..', 'Wait...', 'Are you sure?', 'What the F?!?' and other shouts emerged from the crowd.
Hannah stood up, and said with steady voice: 'Unless you have better idea...'.
As villagers couldn't get to the agreement, they decided to follow Hannah's advice.
'And don't forget that we have another problem. We must appoint new mayor, as the old one is dead'.

Day 1 begins.
