I was just messing around in the shogun directory when I found these sounds that I've never heard before. For battle event sounds, there is a few .wav files that tell you that the enemy army is wavering. Ingame I have never heard that sound file being played. Plus, there is another file that tells you that you've had a daughter. Ingame I have never had a daughter, only sons, I've yet to have a daughter and I've had this game for a half-a-year!
Also, I found .wavs for a clan that I've never heard of. The Chokosabe, are they secret? Were they dropped before the game was released? Who are they? Am I a newbie for asking this? I want answewrs!!

Oh alright, but still, what about the other sound files? There's one that informs you that you've had a daughter! I've had this game for 6 months and I've yet to have a daughter. Even though they are useless in the game, it's realistic.

this is actually fairly typical in games. with stw, they put out the demo first, then made a new version and did some re-working of the engine and other stuff to give a final cut to the game. but, a number of the old or intended things were left in the code or files. it happens. if you compare the textures in the demo version to the final game, you'll find textures in there not used in the final and vice versa. a game often goes thru many transformations before it hits the shelves and lots of times things that arent actually IN the game are still in parts of the code or files. it's really not that unusual. i think the hospital in stw is also a case of that happening. you can find references to it but it just didnt make the final cut.

pls give attention to the sounds, because i have the same problem , i never heard MUSIC for attacking units that is in the Folder of shogun, very strange!...there are sounds for diferent ORDERS that the daymio gives in the battlefield!...and answers of the commanders of every unit!...WHAT is happening!...very many sounds are missing in both types of game SINGLE AND MULTIPLAYER...
ANY IDEA?
