Major discrepancy between available space and content on harddrive
Basically the headline. If I mark all files on the primary harddrive I use about 350 gig. According to "My computer" I got 230 gig left of the harddrive.
Point is, it got 698 gig. available.
So about 120 gig is "taken" but a void in practice. That's prettey extreme and quite suspicious, since I can see everything that should take up a lot of space as well.
Any ideas on why? Glitch? Biggest computer virus ever? Something virus like trying to fill the harddrive?
Any programes that can see all files on the computer, including the very hidden ones (aka those windows don't recognise)?
Edit: It's the system restore mostly. Now time to shrink it down from 100gb to something more sane. Still missing 20 gb.
Ah pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys are the last missing 20.

Classic.

Looks to be that way. If you have very large harddrives, it takes a long while before you'll need to bother about the space. ~;p
Now I didn't take it away completly. It has saved me from trouble once before, but I don't really need 20+ old system versions.
