In my current game as the HRE, I am fighting the Almohads in southern France when there is Catholic revolt in one of the Almohad's provinces. The revolt is led by 3 units(240) Templar Knights. The Almohads retreat and let the province go without a fight. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...ns/biggrin.gif The next turn the Catholic revolters have a change of heart and decide to join the Almohads. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...s/confused.gif What the heck is up with that?
I am not a historian of this era, but I am aware of some of the orders being blamed for losing the battles during the crusades. I don't think any of them actively switched sides. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else. Is it a bug or a feature?

Christians and Moslems did ally with each other to fight against co-religonists in the Outremer.
I guess you can say that this is an extreme case of that - perhaps the Templars haev realised what your Frech King is going to do to them in a hundred years and are getting in the first shot http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...icons/wink.gif

Then the next turn they attacked me. Fortunately, they had to cross bridge and they didn't have any archers. Here is a screen shot.
