Playing taksashila, and my FM are getting bumped off left right and centre by some high level assassins.
Anyone been able to deal with these or are having this issue?

I've been noticing a lot of assassins floating around. Which is why I have one of my own, which seems to have solved the problem so far, whenever I see one, zap.
Granted, it's an expensive solution.
The assassins are way too murderous! With one agent skill they kill all my faction leaders and heirs. Please nerf the ai agent skills!
The AI must get a hefty bonus, because my chances of assassinating AI characters is tiny. I just focus on killing their neophyte agents.
I've just gotten this loaded up, nice to clear that hurdle. I open up some menus and I see assassins can be recruited, is there an option for spies that can counter these assassins?
Ah, NM, looks like they will be recruit-able, I just noticed I've got a spy off on the island, same place they started in original.

As Rome I've not had an assassin problem. Instead Diplos keep buying off my armies. Interestingly they change troop types once subverted.
I'm not a 100% sure, but I seem to recall that having an assassin of your own in a town or stack with an FM helps protect FM from enemy assassins. Might also need a spy in your city or FM stack/army as well.Quote:
