Additional Text Everywhere
Hey, all
It's been a long time since I posted anything EB-related. I've been a fan for years, mostly over at the TWC, but since I can't remember my password there and the email account it was attached to is gone I decided to post here instead. I've been getting text that obviously belongs in the game's text files almost everywhere in the interface. I'm running the game on a Windows 8 PC using the disc addition and the CAI update but no improved graphics update. I have a screenshot, but I'm not sure where to upload it in order to attach it here. Any help would be well-appreciated.
Thanks
Re: Additional Text Everywhere
Could you try to extract this into your mods/EBII/data/text folder?

Re: Additional Text Everywhere
I extracted the files into the text folder, and it seemed to fix the problem. However, I now have a new issue, and it may be related: only some factions seem to function when I load them, some of which loaded (with the text errors) previously. Thusfar Rome and Epirus startup without problems or the extra text, but Carthage, Macedonia, and the KH all begin to load but when the bar is completed on the loading screen I get a popup saying the game has crashed due to an unspecified error.
Re: Additional Text Everywhere
Thanks for testing this! Then I probably missed some of the text bits, causing it to crash. I'll try with Carthage and see what comes up in the log, if anything.
Re: Additional Text Everywhere
This seems to work better when starting a Carthage campaign, please try again :).

Re: Additional Text Everywhere
Carthage now loads and plays correctly, thank you!
Re: Additional Text Everywhere
I got a report on TWC that it crashes when viewing an enemy settlement. This new version should fix that.
Re: Additional Text Everywhere
I'm getting a consistent CTD when I attempt any attacks on enemy settlements, so maybe you fix will also correct that problem. I'll try it out tomorrow after work. Thanks!
Re: Additional Text Everywhere
Yeah, that seems to work for me.
