How doth one....?

how doth one increase zeal in mine provinces..is it with an inquisitor or what?

Archbishops are best at that. I seems to mee that inquisitors can raise zeal, but if they kill thousands of people it can decrease zeal.

High piety governor, with zeal increasing V&V's, possibly your rulers piety has an effect too. An inquisitor, but don't leave him in one province for too long or he will start burining people and reduce the zeal. I think some provinces are predetermined more zealous than others, for particular religions.

I think its inquisitors jobb. I leave inquisitor and bishop in province forever. In long run it does increse zeal to 100% but its real looong run. Time to time it dropes due to inquisitor's odd jobb with fire but then it raises up more then it was before *fire*. Send 2 inquisitors in one province and it raises zeal even faster. Watch out that they don't waste your general or governor there they tend to do that sometimes even if you got a bishop there.

Remove the Inquisitor when zeal reaches about 98%... he will burn people if he goes past 100% and zeal will drop massively.

In my Catholic campaigns I usually have an Inquisitor squad of four guys going around quickly upping zeal and pumping Crusades out of those rapidly. Those Order Foot are worth it.

How can I get zeal to 0%? (apart from waiting until late era)

To get zeal down, don't build church, send your assassin to kill priests, don't appoint highly religious governor, send your high piety king to battle and use him as Conan-the-Destroyer.

Don't know if these works, but I always try to keep zeal low in my provinces. Nothing prevent me to create a crusade and send to the neighbor.

zeal is important for two primary reasons, crusades and religious rebellions. the higher the zeal, the more folks from that province that will join a crusade. it also factors in to how easy or difficult it is to have a religous rebellion in that province. if you've ever noticed a religious uprising, it will often say something like 'they are most likely upset over that faction's recent excommunication', or something like that.

Now I understand, you are all talking about raising zeal in other factions provinces, not your own.
