I play on Win 8.1, but it may help. Set your game screen resolution to the same figures as your computer screen resolution.Quote:

It worked for me although it made the strategy map look smaller.
My game crashes sometimes with no apparent reason, so I try to save the campaign after some important developments or huge battles.
Thanks, but I should have mentioned that I had already tried the solutions posted on the Steam discussions.
Maybe try using the minimum sized army number of troops.
I get this to and random crashes when a army is moved to me in large quantities. Win 10.I just restart from the last saved time although annoying.
Medieval 1 (and Shogun 1) don’t start at all for me when I start them from the library within Steam. I guess that the new launcher they come with does not like my old Windows XP.Quote:

As both don’t have any Steam achievements I simply do not start them from within Steam anymore, but directly starting Medieval_TW.exe
e.g. in my directory
