Console Trouble

I am playing Romani. I would like to give my family member "Marcus Clavdivs Nero" certain traits but for some reason when I put the command: give_trait "Marcvs Romanvs" (trait) 1 it defaults to a spy. MarcvsA through MarcvsK do not exist. Killing the spy makes Marcvs refer to a Marcvs Fabivs.. Instead.

My question is how do I force EB to use different internal names? I'd like to be able to refer to the marcvs I want by using MarcvsA-MarcvsK but it seems eb just has everyone share a name.
