Ok, the thing I wish for most in the new patch is simple. As far as I can see, the new game, while great, is not that stable, crashes happen quite frequently on my machine, as well as with many other people. This is a fine game and a fine expansion, but these crashes are making the game annoying. Please, please make the number one aim of the patch to stabilise the game or I feel people may leave the game in droves, which would be a mighty shame.

Yeah, this is a great ex pack, I don't really have many complaints other than the strange reinforcments issue, and a little tweaking to the morale, but these should be fixed quite quickly. Like you Jag I have never had a problem with other games, but this game is a bit unstable and the crashes can get a bit unbearable at times, so I implore all of you who want the game to be stabilised in the patch to keep this thread near the top to ensure Richie reads it. Thanks.

Would'nt you be better posting this in the tech forum?
I have had no crashes?

I rarely have crashes, but I just had one last night, and here's specifically how it happened.
In a previous season I have assigned a ninja to kill an enemy emissary. The emissary moves back to enemy territory (Totomi), and my ninja follows. Totomi has border fort, so I thought I'd better get my ninja out of there. (he should consider himself lucky he wasn't caught when he moved into Totomi) I picked him up, and when I tried to drop him back to Shinano, crash to desktop. I restarted STWWE and tried to cancel his mission first (i.e. pick up and drop back into Totomi), same thing - crash to desktop. So in the end I just ignored him and let him die.
Not a major bug / complaint that I'm making, but I just thought it'd be useful to contribute a specific case for the developers to test.

Hmm... that's odd to hear. I've NEVER had the game crash (of course, none of my other games crash either)... i wonder what you guys' are using for motherboards and video cards - so i can stay away from them! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
Just funnin'.

I had a smilar problem with a Geisha who was to kill a General and started going in the opposite direction? So I picked her up... back to desk top. I learnt pretty quick to leave her alone.
I never had crashes previously and I am now having them reasonably regularly.
Ctrl + S is becoming a habit especially after a major battle, or prior to my starting one.
I would have to agree that it needs to be addressed in the patch.

Guys, I know this is bad news for you. But on the whole the game is pretty stable. The number of people complaining is not that big. Especially if you compare it to the number of people that visit my website and find a solution to their problems there. If I throw some statistics around I could prove that there is much less than 1% of people who can't solve the problems, so to say the rpoblem is in the game is not realistic. If we haven't sorted out your problems that is only because we haven't been able to pinpoint the cause on your pc.
Naturally every information I can get my hands on is mailed to CA. I am not going to wait until they find the info on the forums. These issues have also been reported to them. Not that they are significant, but because they appear slightly more frequently than with STW. Maybe they can do something in the graphics department to slightly reduce the strain on hardware in this particular detail. But again, the CAUSE is in your pc. We just have to put the finger on the bits and bytes causing it.
