I'm working on a set of new icons ( Bifs and LBMs) both for Persian, Patrician and ancient mods. I'll make them available in a generic form for use by our community. That means, we can adapt those icons for any mod. I'll also make available my own sets proposals for those mods.
I was working on the units sprites, but that is a hard job. I discover that the interface play a more important part in MTW, at least during a battle, and the stock icons are not friendly for those who play with ancient mods.

Flip, can you tell me how you made those icons? I have some problems using my own unit icons that are placed in the Battle\UnitIcons\ folder. I made completely new icons and I used them to replace existing icons. The result was a CTD. If I paste the icons into an existing icon, the result is also a CTD. What's going on?

I managed this way:
Open a BMP icon in Photoshop or Paint Shop. Select all, copy. Open LBM icon in Ultimate Paint, a program that acept the LBM extension. Paste, save. Thats it. I also convert before the icon to grayscale, to avoid problems with palettes. The BMP is 256 colors, 8 bits.

Hey flip Im a lazy bastard who knows literally nothing abotu modding(I'm learning) and im wonderin if you could edit the original prod file of the game to fit your units and post it? Im havin troubles balancing it out ie:I have to change legion from mounted to none etc...

sorry I just contribut with graphics, thats why this units pack was builded for moders. komninos and others are using the units for great Ancient mods. The set its not a rigid thing. Its open for a specific mod created. Can help on that, sorry.

Ok, there are a couple of elements in MTW that, as a graphic designer,I'd like to change in order to play with
some imersion a mod. I'm talking of Ancient mods, as Hellenic Total War from Komninos and others.
Portraits of kings and generals.( I'd love to see classical faces)
Pieces on campaign map.( idem/ not medieval units )
its a uge work, and I'm asking, programmers and moders, in terms of MTW structure, what I have to change. I need the lignes, paths and folders, that afected to those items.
