There are a few custom maps that are either impractical or impossible to play MP. The combination of models, water or both can cause many problems with deployment, marching or even crashes if too many are used. Nice though these maps are they can be very frustrating. Perhaps if -SP were included in the title it would make it easier to host maps that will cause no trouble. The -SP maps could then be used for custom battles.

hehe.. ill be more careful in future, though some maps can be played in MPO, it depends on the players PC's then
I just don't want people avoiding custom maps for fear of them crashing the game. Like I said -SP will prevent this

It's indeed a bit of a problem, not only for MP. Any map should work in a 4vs4 custom SP battle.
(should not must, since sometimes eyecandy is more important than 4v4). Ordas -sp tag in the name would be of help, or at least a small readme so mappacks can be tailored to MP needs.
Most problems are caused by failure to deploy. With STW, one also had to take the possibility to exit the map into account.
Another request- If you mean your map to be played with a specific terrain, please note by going eg. Sk_Sahara_rd (rd-rocky desert). If you don't care, leave it blank.

Point taken. That's going to make very long names. It would be good to have mapdescriptions like STW had. Maybe it's possible to do something with the mappreview (display a description?).
I also miss the mappreview once you joined a game. I'm often completely clueless about where I am.
