hey,
I was always wondering, what excatly determines a units loyalty when it is produced? Is it the Influence level of the current king? or is likelihood determined by other factors or in the crusader11 file?
has anyone tinkered with this? The reason i ask, is historically there were many byzantine turncoats, yet in game most units produced by the byzantines start with high loyalty.
I have wondered about this myself. I think the only thing to do would be to start different games as different factions, and jot down their average loyalty, along with the type of unit, the loyalty of the province it was created in, unit morale, and the king's influence.
If you do this for factions with different size and inflence, a pattern, if their is one, should emerge.
