Well, I finally saw someone in the STW MP foyer, but when we tried to connect we got a Version Mismatch error. Anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?

Well, I finally saw someone in the STW MP foyer, but when we tried to connect we got a Version Mismatch error. Anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?
General, you have to ask which stats they are using. The main ones are 1.02 (official beta stats) and 1.03 (community created). Check out the topic links provided in this topic pinned to the top of our forum. Some prefer the 1.02 stats while others prefer the 1.03 stats. Using a stat swapper program you can switch the stats set you are using in a matter of seconds to synch up with the other player.

That can't be the problem because stats are not checked before you join a game in STW WE/MI. If you have the wrong stat, you just go out of sync after the battle starts.
You will get that mismatch error if you don't have the WE/MI v1.02 patch installed or if you don't have the map. If a player is using a custom map, you have to download that map and put it in the \battle\maps folder which is under the main game folder. You can also get most of the custom maps all at once by downloading the mappack304.exe which is self installing.

Well, since the map was a standard one that can't be the problem. He also said he was using WE/MI v1.02, so I'm still stumped.
