They are simple text scripting files. They seem to be quite easy to pick up on. I just scanned them, but it would seem that you could do a lot with them if you wanted to put the time into it.
If you have played through the historical battles and campaigns, you know that there are numerous bugs in them, such as battles that don't unlock properly. The biggest I remember was in the Lionheart campaign, where the positions of the opposing armies were reversed The scenario stated that Richard came up behind a Muslim force and caught it in the open. Well, when you start the battle, it's the Muslims that have come upon Richard's force from behind If I had played them more recently I would probably remember more things, many having to do with misleading descriptions in the loc\eng files.
Anyway, I seem to hear things occasionally about the historical battles and such, but I'm afraid I never paid close attention due to my own work, so I was just wondering now that I had finally stumbled upon some scripting files that we could alter as we pleased.
