Looking at downloading medmod 3.14 just wanted to check whether it will give me any conflicts in multiplayer and if its best to patch onto a second copy, or if everythings fine and i can just patch my main copie.

I havent tried the mod but I can see from the installation files that it has a custom projectile stat. That will cause version conflict in MP. So you have to install it to a second copy.

If both people were running medmod would it work?
Yes as long as all players have the same mod they can play MP with each other.

The idea here is just like with any other games: all the players have to have the same version of the game (patches, revisions, Xpacks, MODs) to play together...
