I've been playing Warlord edition for about 8 months. Finally tried to play the Mongol version, but computer crashed.
Decided I should probably download and install the 1.02 patch. I downloaded alright, and I thought I had loaded it, but its not showing that I have the patch.
Once you download, then double click on 1.02 it walks me through an installation process. But for some reason it isn't working.
Any ideas?

Maybe your installation of original shogun is corrupted. Try install v1.00 again, then apply the patch.

i think you had to have the patch file in the root directory of the game and then run it from there for it to work right. it's been a while. i forget.

The only absolute is that there are no absolutes.
And where/what is the root file and how would I put the patch there? Sorry for such a mundane question, but not sure where to turn for help.
Tyler, first time i tried to install the patch, it did the same as what you're describing. Took me a while to realize that you have to install it when the game isn't running. Close the game, then try to install the patch again.
