I meet a person who use the command -ian in multiplayer games, and I want to know if it is a cheat...or the command is not a cheat...
I tell him that he is a cheater, because I think it is a cheat...
Please tell me if it is a cheat or not...

Hm it can only be used in MP if you dont have the VI patch.
In a way its a cheat as you do get an advantage over people that dont use the command.

I don't play online. Didn't know the command could even be used in MP. Interesting. I would certainly think it an unfair advantage unless everyone agreed to use it. Then, it would be just part of the game.
Well it was no doubt easier to play or at least in a more relaxing way as you could zoom up and get a nice view of all armies http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...s/gc-smile.gif
Took some battles to get used to the old restricted camera when the patch came out. But now I have nearly forgot about all that freedom http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...ns/biggrin.gif

While -ian can provide an advantage, it can also be a distraction. It is common knowledge and easy to activate. IMO it is part of the game, available ot anyone. I do not consider it to be a cheat; before I switched to patched VI I always assumed that my teammates and opponents were using it, and used it myself.

Yup, it´s a cheat. I´m using it right now playing the mongols since I want to do my first domination game ever and find it unaceptable to conquer Europe with any other faction. It´s fun
