You need to make a copy of your MTW folder and then install NTW into that copy. It will make changes to your normal game.
CBR
What he said basically, just install mtw to a new location and install over that fresh installation.Quote:

i have a small problem with N:TW when i'm a medieval battle the units look werd and were jerky. anyone else experinced this http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...s/confused.gif
I get that too. I think thats probably the reason you need to have a seperate install of MTW.
how do i do that
MTW is limited in modding in the sense there are a limited amount of slots available for these unitgraphics. Since NTW has new unitgraphics it means that the official unitgraphics have to be overwritten.Quote:

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...nquisitive.gif was that a bit clear?
This is the problem with most mods that have new unitgraphics. ME:TW, H:TW and N:TW are examples.
Open up My Computer or Windows Explorer. Go to the folder where you can find the folder wherein MTW is installed. For example in C:\Program Files\ you will find Medieval - Total War\Quote:

Then paste the installation folder. Do this either by pressing CTRL + v OR by right-clicking on the screen and select paste.
You should now see a progress bar, when it is finished you will see a new folder called Copy of Medieval - Total War (if you an English Windows version). You can rename this folder by right-clicking on the folder and select Rename.
Have fun playing the mods
