ok,
i'm new to shogun (I bought warlords edition about a week ago). I'm confused as far as multiplayer battles go do you actually play a game or just one battle(I haven't played multiplayer yet, my connection to the internet is slow & unreliable)?
thank you in advance if you respond
p.s. is it possible in campagn to send the computer's emissary's head back. My friend who has had the game and told me about it has only seen this twice but it has happened to me like 14 times(yes literaly) and my friend has had it since shogun came out(bastard never mentioned it.).
sorry i'm just ranting now

You may be thinking of getting your emissaries fragged by Ninjas. This tends to happen.
I've never seen anyone get their head sent back, tho. Perhaps I should screw around with it just so I can see it at least once. I'm not even sure if this is an option with emissaries, though I think it might be with priests.
As far as multiplayer, there is no multiplayer campaign (grrr, they promised and promised and it never came).. multiplayer works like Custom Battles.

Matt

I have seen the AI send the head of the emmisary back occasionaly, but I think it will only occur when the other daimyo share another belief ( you are buddhist, he is Catholic). And if he does not like your proposal he will send back the head.
But you do NOT have that option, weird enough 'cuz the AI has.

Just 1 game at a time, unless you sign up for a campaign and then someone has to do some book-keeping to make it play like a single player game (Magyar has a great campaigntool that works perfectly). Otherwise you just play 1 battle at a time.
