OK this is pretty weird, playing as Italians, I had my king (who was 9 influence) and the next turn I check he had dropped to...1 influence Nothing happened that turn, no wars, no messages, no alliance breaking, nothing apart from a couple of buildings being built. Does anyone know whats going on? I haven't had a civil war yet, however it is a pain for heirs being born (I got a 6 star heir and a 1 star heir due to influence fluctuations...)

others have reported the same thing. IIRC, the savegame is corrupted and yer stuck with this - no known cure. It will keep going up and down over the turns with no cause. Only hope is to reload an older savegame before the problem appeared and hope.
