In this new expansion when you are fighting on a coastal province and you have rienforcements. Will they come on ships and be droped off? And also will you be able to see sword dojos and all those other dojos? Will you be able to burn down structures with fire arrows, torches, and other stuff?

1. The only coastal province seen so far has had the sea on its western side. As troops enter from the north and the south (minimap-wise, that is), there won't be ships at least on that map. A Normandy-style invasion map isn't out of the question yet, however.
2. ? If I understood this correctly, you want strategic buildings on the tactical map. I'll paste an answer from an older thread:

The provinces are *somewhat* bigger than the tactical combat maps. What we see in each province's tac map is only a tiny portion of the province's overall area that has been chosen (by someone) as the area most suitable for a field battle. The castle is in the castle map, not the standard combat map.
Although why the river province castles aren't built by the river is anybody's guess.

3. This is, IMHO, a major enough feature that it would have been mentioned in the press releases if it existed presently. And because the Shôgun said the expansion pack is already feature complete (= they won't be adding new stuff), it seems fire attack still isn't in it.

Anssi,
Although the expansion is "feature set" that doesn't mean that we know what all of the features will be. My guess is that with the stated goal of the Mongols being to pillage and plunder Japan, there is the possibility for fire to be involved.
My personal opinion though is that it would be too tough graphically to include in the tactical portion of the game. Beyond that, battlefield use of fire was not something the Japanese used extensively although it was by the Chinese (and Mongols I believe). Seiging is a whole different beast though.
So...although I would rather NOT see fire as a tactical option, I will still allow for the possibility.

I'm with Obake on this. Although fire would be 'cool' on a visual level, there is a far greater chance that it would totally screw up gameplay. If it could be done properly it might just be worth it, but I doubt it.

Basically I see coastal maps having the equivalency of snow. But there's already a thread about that somewhere.
Boy, it sure is hard keeping up with some of these threads and what they're about, since few have anything topical mentioned on their Subject heading.
Anyway, I'd like to know if the port attack "cheat" (in my opinion, it isn't a cheat) will be fixed up since theoretically Mongol invaders will need ports in order to invade and still work within the game engine for allowing attacks from non-adjacent provinces, like from another country.

A coast could in fact overlay the entirety of a deployment zone on the map as they are now. Does that mean 8 players could not fight it out on a coastal map? Or would the water-only deployment zone make use of ships for that player to disembark from?
What then would be the constraint on the coast line if you are making your own map with their editor? Could you, for example, make a map where one half of it was water? Could you make an isthmus or an island map?
Maybe the coastline will only be able to be extended so far inland to maintain deployment zones and cannot create land divisions... we shall see...
