One. Month. Is. Too. Long. :jawdrop:
That's awesome. I personally would prefer an exotic slave though. ~;) But I hope that all factions get this, not just the Romans. Please.... don't give all the cool things just to the Romans...
Notice that the 'Roman' army has a unit of wardogs?
I didn't think the Romans could get those.
Much less Elephants! ~ Mabye there mercanary units. Or units they got in a treaty.
whats with the generic female faces err i mean just one female portrait, i might be nit picking, but might make the family tree a bit meh.. ~:p anyways there are some units that i see for the first time, half naked guy, guy with dagger and guy in toga, what does that mean?
Yeah, that's a bit boring. Mabye they haven't added in all the female portraits?
Oh my
GOD
I want
Rome:
Total War
I'm guessing they'll add more - hopefully.Quote:

Finished art (portraits especially) are the last things to go into games, the finishing touches from the art department. You can bet the CA art team are putting in a LOT of hours the last six weeks or so to get all the finished art done, it's a huge job.Quote:

That's a very old assassin. ~:)
Or maybe the female portrait is to represent the heavy inbreeding the Romans did. Actually I have no idea how bad the inbreeding was during the Roman era.
Although I've just seen this I wonder if there will be some surprises in the family tree. Awwwww sick who just married me off to my sister!!!!!!!!! ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: No pukey smileys to click on.
Of course this probably means the 6 toed vice wo'nt be so random and you'll have 16 years to prepare for it. But hopefully it wo'nt be so easy to dump them off...... Sure my royal knight son yr bodyguard will defeat that army of 1000 men. Well maybe you can do it theway they did in those days, lock em up in a room to never see another person except the servants who fed him/her so there is no chance they can become a public figure or being known to the public ....... New vice closetboy..... This child is a hideous looking all due to a brother and sister having poor morals and has been locked away since birth
I hope one can assasinate people in the retinue ~:smoking:
I wonder what use a pet monkey has to an assassin's abilities...
You know I wonder if you can order your spies to befriend and join an enemy commander's retinue, that would be a great way to keep tabs on the enemy army!
Looks very impressive indeed. If the game is really so good than it seems to be, and if it is easily modable then will actually be a pleasure to make this mod...
Cheers
OA
It could be that freaky monkey from Pirates of the Carribean whih swung around nicking stuffa t the worst possible times.Quote:

I think it says that his no ability. So I think it's just kind of like "I've got a monkey, and you don't!" It could be like that Pokemon game (shudder), where you have to collect all of the pets to win. ~:joker:
well, perhaps as assassins get better (increase in valour), this is reflected in the game by having the monkey acquire some skills. Or perhaps the monkey gets special attributes with practice, thus increasing the assassin's overall efficiency.
I guess one could imagine a monkey being able to steal stuff, or replace small objects, or crawl through small openings and pouring poison into a glass, etc. After all, they can be trained.
If none of the above, well, at least it's funny ~:)
Let us hope they have a pet lion. ~:joker:
SEVEN HUNDRED V&Vs?
Uh, wow!
That's great news. As is the family tree, and pet monkeys. ~;)
That picture of the elephant, with 37 beside it, which seems to be the number of the unit, best not mean 37 elephants... ~:mecry: I hope each elephant has a crew of like 10 people.
sorry if this has been already posted, but I found it reaaaaally cool:
Res Romanae a couple of days ago:
Diplomats, spies and assassins in RTW can gain personality traits and retinues of lesser followers. [blah, blah] A talented 'femme fatale' can be a great assistant for an assassin !
sounds good to me ~D
