..that they had in STW. Sure, after awhile I'd just skip through 'em. But I always enjoyed seeing the ninja rolling a bomb into the priest's room and hearing him scream just before it went off. ~D

I completely agree. The will he or won't he suspense was great. It was a shame they didn't bother for MTW.
Yeah, I loved the little movies - they really did liven up the game. Are they going to have them in Rome Total War?
I don't think they are. :( It's a real shame, because I thought those movies really increased the atmosphere. And the movies before starting each campaign time period and for finishing the game (and the statue you get in modern Japan!) were great, to. The 'ending' in MTW was shockingly bad. You just get a bit of speech going "Yay your faction did good". ~:pQuote:

Lots of games these day do not make movies. They just use the in-game engine to create a cinematic.
If you watch the new vid at IGN, there was an opening movie for the Parthians, so I think that the movies are back.
Movies, movies movies...... I wanna see staaaarrrrzzzzzz
I must admit that the end of MTW was rather anti-climatic.
The movies in Shogun tended to get skipped a lot... but I always liked to watch the Ninja when my guys where attacked... a loved it when the Ninja got into the castle, throws two knives and kills two guards, slides open the door and hops in and sees an empty bed... and the emissary is standing behind the Ninja.... emissary 1 - Ninja 0
