Tactics Lessons (beginner)
hi all,
I started a thread in the entrance hall before I could post here. Just in case people haven't seen that one, I've begin to create tactical lessons, presented in HTML with maps and descriptions of battles (along with the replay files) at:
http://cicero.modwest.com/tactics/
There are only two at the moment, but I'm hoping to expand this as much as I can.
I've gotten some great replays from people -- if you happen to know of replays that demonstrate tactical abilities that could be (or should be) taught to new (or old) players, please give me a holler and let me know where I can find them. Right now these are based on replays of MTW v 1.1 battles, but could be VI (and definitely WILL be RTW at some point in the near future).
Cheers,
Tamur

Nice work. Keep it up! :)
Re: Tactics Lessons (beginner)
That some good stuff, but in the defence one, if the center is open like that with only archers to hold, than wouldn't it have been more tacticly sound for the Spanish to charge the arches with the Cav and than swing around and hit your guys on the right hard, cause a route and than go srtaight for your own Cav.

Thanks hotingzilla, and Kagetora, yes, it definitely would have been for them but they didn't, the silly blighters. I'll have to make a more definite point about how opening up the archers like that is almost always a very, very bad move.
