When rampaging through France, as I often do, I enjoy destroying everything in my path and taking the loot for it. Great fun.
One problem though, when destroying castles, often there is no castle icon in the building list, just a tower or castle extension. And when I destroy this, the whole castle is gone and I only get about 100 Florins (the value of the tower alone) when I should get one or two thousand for the castle.
Any idea what the deal is?

I've seen that too. Looks like a bug to me.

If there is no extension to the castle (like upgraded towers) then you can knock down the castle and get half it's value, which can amount to a lot. But with upgrades, like you said..you get stuff all. :(

It probably isn't as much a bug as it is the representation of the less than adequate french engineering. Tear down one small wall, the entire keep caves in...
Shoddy workmanship if you ask me, honestly, no-one takes pride in their work anymore...
