Roman troops are dumb

I downloaded this mod from TWC allowing me to play on the tutorial map a small battle between Car. and Romans. As we all know is a river battle. I'm fighting hard because I have to cross and the Romans just send their full forces to attack me when I'm crossing. Anyway the funniest most dumb thing happened. Some Romans were fleeing and some of them threw themselves to the river, instantly dying. That was not the last time, on another occasion, a full roman inf. unit was chargin on my forces. They where trying flank them, but they made a wrong turn into the river. They passed under the bridge and a lot of them when donw the river. A full unit of inf was depleted to 1. ~:joker:

That got my attention, is the AI dumb enough to kill his own units? Have any of you experience that?

I think you answered your own question without meaning to: "I downloaded this mod..."

Once you do that all bets are off as far as the way the demo will behave. ~:)

sounds like good ai to me.

people running away in blind panic are very capable of this .
altough i wouldn't want to see it in every battle .

I also doubt that the mod does anything with unit behaviour
