Roman Leagues - Competitive Clan Competition

Hello all

This idea most probably appeals to 'RTS Gamers' rather than players who wish to recreate historical situations, but i hope it will appeal to all, as this is to be designed for the whole community.

Basically im in the process of setting up and constructing a 'League System' for RTW Clans to compete in.

'How will it work'?

The league will be split into divisions - 8 clans max per division. Each clan ideally will play 1 game per week, in a scheduled fixture list. You will play each other just once in the season (ie 7 games if 8 clans).
Promotion & Relegation will be implemented if there are more than 1 division - on a 2 up / 2 down basis.
Points system: 3pts for a win, a tied game (should there be one) = 1pt each, 0pts for a loss. There may be a bonus point system implemented depending on total losses etc.
Player numbers: At this stage im considering a split - a 2v2 setup, & a 3v3+ setup (inc 4v4 wars).
End of season cup: tournament style, knockout based until 1 clan wins. (ie FA Cup)
It will also require a good community interested in having fun on a competitive stage. Keyword : FUN.

Obviously this is a work in progress, alot still needs to be put in place (namely the release of the game), but i have alot to give, im designing a site (unfortunately to be hosted on a free server, until i get the funds together).

What i need, other community members interested in helping put this together - however small a part you can play, would be very much appreciated. Clans, any clans out there looking for competitive RTW gaming, please post an interest (ok its early, but a sign of interest will help spur on me, and any potential setup team members).

So there you have it, hopefully a community based clan league system, fun to play in, but structured and run well, so clans can enjoy, relax and get stuck into their battles.

Obviously for those who may be concerned, this is a free to play in league - like clanbase for those who have any online gaming experience.

And Clans - stick your interest down, if you dont fancy it in the end, there are no ties at all.

Roman Leagues

Some of you may have read the above post over at Totalwar.com, if so, please bear with me - its a large community to get the attention of.

Anyway, as you can tell, this setup is still in the works - and obviously will only get under way once the full game is released.

I have constructed a website, which although presentable, is still a work in progress for obvious reasons.

So if any of you have a clan and want to join the Roman Leagues, please post here, or keep tabs - as i will post the URL once i have a host sorted.

Also any community members wishing to help run the league in a admin role, please give me a shout.

(Anyone who has some free webspace to offer, id be very interested - even on a temporary basis till the league gets running, then i will invest in a domain / webspace etc.)
