Have finally finished some of my research, and one of my papers is out for publication with the De Re Militari people... (whew!)

I started futzing around with the game again last night, and tried to figure out some mod problems (BKB, you're awesome, my machine hates you, but maybe it's just b/c it's old).... and it occurred to me...

we can take ninjastar and make it "mounted shortbow."
This will distinguish between horse-archers who shot with great rapidity, but not much power (Byzantines), from thsoe with stronger bows (Mongols), for example...

but... although we can't bring the quiver sizes up to historical examples, why not set the reload time to 2 (3 for m.long) for the mounted shortbow to reflect the great emphasis on speed of fire in both kinds of training -- some of you may recall me mentioning that my professor in Budapest can, if firing at an area rather than a specific target, pull nearly an arrow per second -- set reload while moving to yes, and set immediate fire to yes?

Even the AI ought to be able to use that effectively, I think. And for humans, it makes the question of "how do you commit them" both more interesting, and a good bit more historically accurate.
