Sad but True!
Woke up and called Babbages to see if RTW was in on the 23rd. The guy said no that it will be in on the 24th. I was just a little mad, then i checked my answering machine. A voice says that my copy of RTW was in!!! Well after 40 miles and a walk across the parking lot i get to the store. I have to show the guy behind the counter my identification and the receipt were i preordered! The guy says that people have been in the store trying to get the game by lying about preordering. Some have even tryed using there friends names who have preordered. I have never seen this kind of security for a pc game. My wife was just shocked by it all. If this is any indication then RTW is going to be the biggest game in america, or at least in south georgia.

Re: Sad but True!
It is sad that people will resort to such tactics, and over a game no less. On the brightside, this must be encouraging from a sales standpoint. I was beginning to wonder if RTW was going to be another critically acclaimed game with so-so sales numbers. I got that impression from sites like Gamespot and EBgames where they list the top most anticipated games. I wasn't too surprised that RTW wasn't in the list when factoring all the console games, but I was shocked to see that RTW was not even on EBgames' top five "coming soon" list for PC games - even the day before release. When I went to EBgames to pick up my preorder, the sales guy, who usually comments "that's a good game" when I buy a good game, said nothing about RTW but started telling me how great the new Warhammer game was (which it looks like it might be).
Anyway, I hope your situation is more indicative of the broad demand for RTW than my experience was.
