Pity that RTW seems to be falling short of the hardcore battlemap fans. Not too much of a surprise considering the limited nature of your command ability in the demo, however.
I was just wondering if RTW has specific ages in the game as did MTW. I never particularly liked that about it and hoped that new units were less reliant upon when as opposed to your tech buildings.
As far as I can tell - no.
However the Roman factions are granted new tech tree with the Marius Reforms.
RTW is fine in the battlemap, infact, apart from one glaring error its fine multiplayer too. RTW is not MTW, it'll take some time for people to get used to.
I've been lanning all day and the multiplayer battles are longer and more enjoyable than MTW. The stronge units fight all day without routing, the only thing that does mass killing is elephants.
