That should grant her the "utterly fearless" virtue.
i think that falls into the category of 'only in australia'. go granny!

Did the lady had good dinner? ~D
Agree with Kraellin.
I guess she learned a lesson or two about handling them crocodiles from steve irwin... ~;p
saw this one on tv tonight...amazing woman. Apparently, she thought that the croc was going for the baby and instictively decided that it was a good idea to attack the croc for a change...go girl !

what i find amazing is that the MODS are top on the list.

Suprised no one else has said what a foolhardy, stupid thing to do. There is a thin line between courage and foolhardyness.
Getting killed and not getting killed ~:)Quote:

Hey, we all die eventually

It is very difficult to lbael 'cowardice' and 'courage', at least imo.
It are stories like this that put a big stupid grin on my face. GO GRANNY!!!! :charge:
A 12 feet croc, wow. Something that paralyses any spectator with fear. What if everyone did? The guy would be dead. Granny broke the paralyse and attacked. The gun guy thought: 'oh, yes I should attack too'.
Perhaps she values the live of others more then her own? Recall that she saw a baby in danger. Perhaps there was neither courage nor intelligence nor stupidity, she just acted. And a good thing she did, she bought time and motivated the others to help.
GO GRANNY!
Well at 60, she might just have thought "my life for any other", especially a baby.
"The injured campers managed to set off a rescue beacon, capturing the attention of government wildlife officials in the area who were eradicating wild pigs."
Right.. "eradicating" eh? Probably putting them to fire and testing it's effect on kangaroos...
Bah, my Granny beat that Granny to the ground in no time. My Granny kills bulls with barehands! She can make Indonesian pirates blemish just by talking!
My Granny rulez ~D :dizzy2: ~
*starts the who got the best Granny contest*
:duel:
Louis,
a very courageous lady !
Sasaki Kojiro, that quote would be attributed to William Shakespeare from Julius Caesar.
JAG, this woman's reaction was the classic 'fight or flight' adrenalin rush. It probably was more of a sub-conscious act than one that was thought about.
It happened at 4am, still dark I assume, and came as a complete surprise, humans aren't used to being prey any more. I doubt they knew that those WildLife Officers were in the area, but thankfully they had the foresight to have a rescue beacon with them. Fortunately crocs are cold blooded, and are kind of sluggish till they bask in the heat of the sun to power up.
i fail to see why one would be a coward for refusing to jump onto a 12 foot croc.....Quote:
