Help me with these descisions!
Ok i finally found out how to give and take away cities from factions. The thing is im having some trouble with my changes. Not technical, i just don't know what i want.
I gave the greeks athens and corinth, i felt it was more deserved. But this weakens macedonia. I thought about giving them byzantium, but then this weakens thracia wich takes byzantium in the first several turns of the game. Can anyone offer a solution?
Also i wanted to do some changes to the seleucids, they seem to be at war with everyone in every campaing i play as and always get beat. I think they are too overextended. But i don't know where to put them, or what to change to affect this. The egyptians are also too strong, but taking away factions from them does no seem right.
I made carthage stronger by giving them syracuse and and tripoli. And they seem to last longer, though are ultimately defeated by scipiones.
Any comments or ideas?
Re: Help me with these descisions!
These might help; they show the various phases of the Seleucid Empire:
Kingdoms of the Hellenistic Successors at 301 BC and 200 BC: http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/histo...ms_301_200.jpg
Growth of Roman Power in Asia Minor (188, 90, and 63 BC): http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/histo...oman_power.jpg
Hope they help!
Re: Help me with these descisions!
From a gameplay perspective you could remove the seleucid western province (give it to the greeks, and then give athens to macedonia to rebalance those). Give Egypts north-most town to the seleucids instead - can't remember the name, tripoli in MTW ~;) Thus rebalancing egypt a bit.
Finally remove the invisible armor on the egyptian desert axemen and the seleucids have a fighting chance.
