Noob Question about modding

just a quick question to all you modders out there. is it not possible to make an online campaign mod for rome, i know that would go down a treat with many fanatics on here, myself included. also some1(i cant remember who) posted a thread on here which i cant find now but it was about a mod they`d made to unlock the other factions in the game without completing the roman campaign. i followed the instructions to the letter but it didnt alter anything at all in the game, i did download the 1.1 patch straight after maybe that had something to do with the mod not working???????????

Campaign multiplayer has been a dream since Shogun:TotalWar was first announced 4 years ago. Someday, it will happen. Just: not today. And probably , not tomorrow.

i'm useless at modding anything but i want to see these things for mods:
Middle Earth mod - but there will probably be a problem with Eagles and dragons and fell beasts (flying nazgul)

i heard about a Napoleon total war mod, never seen it but it sounds cool...

Mesoamerica: Total War - with Teotihuacan (classic period) Aztecs and Maya and so on...

and Afterlife: Total War - fighting in different realms of the afterlife for different cultures: the Heavens the levels of Hell (from Dante), Valhalla, Limbo, etc...
