Man, those Archer Warbands must have some kind of bonus fighting Cav - cause they sure take charges well. My Sarmatians got worked on an open field by a lone Archer Warband. 2 Charges and I only killed 20 of them. :dizzy2: Are Sarmatians' 17 Charge Bonus negated by the Archer's Shirtlessness ? I'm really lost on this one - I thought Cav were supposed to counter archers - with that kind of charge bonus you would expect them to ride over prettymuch anything - especially archers! ~:confused:
I've found Illyrian (sp?) Mercenaries to be very resistant to my cavalry too - strange as they're skirmishers... :dizzy2:

afaict, you don't get your charge bonus against skirmishers, or at least the game feedback gives no indication of it.
The problem, I think is that your state is "pursuing" when chasing skirmishers. They turn on a dime, and you start meleeing, but there's no charge bonus, no crash. (notice how you rarely see skirmishers tumbling all over, as you'd normally see with a charge face to face into infantry). Whether this is bug or feature, I do not know.
Unfortuantely, that makes pursuing even moderately tough skirmishers with light cav problematic if the skirmishers turn around and fight.
