Being Germania I've made a deal with the Senate consisting of Trade Rights, Map Information, and a demand of 2000 Denarii. Now, I'm really happy because I've doubled my money but I am not certain what map information is actually being sold! Can anyone enlighten me?
The map information is a bit weird. Once as the julii i thought i had payed for britian map information. but ended up with nothing. Im not sure how it works.
To me its a bit screwy
Map information doesn't clear the fog of war, but it does let you see things like city locations that normally you'd have to discover yourself. It will also let you see who owns the various provinces that the other faction has explored.
If you've already explored all the territory yourself, it won't really gain you anything.

I used it when I lost map that came with game, only get so much info each campaign though. Tooks ages to crawl around POntus etc... ~:)
Map information is nice to sell to other factions. If you use a good diplomat, you can get anywhere from 2000+ for them. Definately a nice little bonus for simply giving city information to another faction.
