Hi everyone, I was just wondering about the marius reforms in Rome Total War. As im aware in history thet reformed the roman army, what effect do they have in RTW and what year do they occur, I head it was decades earlier than history. :bow:

I happens when one of the romans build an imperial palace, that is possible when a city reaches 24000 inhabitans. It is easy to get it started way before it really happened.
It's a bit ironic that the Marian reforms can take place before Marius was even born...

Just remember CA will be patching it that the Marius reforms wo'nt happen so early. Probably wo'nt be able to build postmarion units before 150 B.C or so.
Maybe for a short campaign they will keep it this way but for the imperial campaign it is definatley getting changed.
